द्रोणपर्व — अध्याय ९०: हार्दिक्यस्य पराक्रमः
Kṛtavarmā’s Stand against the Pāṇḍavas
तिष्ठ ध्वं रथिनो यूय॑ संग्राममभिकड्क्षिण: । युध्यामि संहतानेतान् यशो मान॑ च वर्धयन्,'संग्रामकी इच्छा रखनेवाले रथियो! आपलोग चुपचाप खड़े रहें। मैं कौरवकुलके यश और मानकी वृद्धि करता हुआ आज इन संगठित होकर आये हुए शत्रुओंके साथ युद्ध करूँगा”

tiṣṭha dhvaṁ rathino yūyaṁ saṅgrāmam abhikāṅkṣiṇaḥ |
yudhyāmi saṁhatān etān yaśo mānaṁ ca vardhayan ||
Sañjaya dit : «Ô guerriers de char, vous qui aspirez au combat, tenez ferme et gardez vos rangs ! Je combattrai ces ennemis venus en ordre serré, afin d’accroître la gloire et l’honneur de la lignée des Kuru.»
