Droṇa’s Defensive Stand and Abhimanyu Commissioned to Breach the Cakravyūha (द्रोणानीक-प्रतिरोधः; सौभद्र-नियोजनम्)
प्रतिज्ञाकर्मदक्षस्य रणे गाण्डीवधन्चन: । उपमां नाधिगच्छामि पार्थस्य सदृशीं क्षिती,रणभूमिमें प्रतिज्ञापूर्वक कर्म करनेमें कुशल, गाण्डीवधारी कुन्तीकुमार अर्जुनके लिये तो मुझे इस पृथ्वीपर कोई उनके योग्य उपमा ही नहीं मिलती है
pratijñā-karmadakṣasya raṇe gāṇḍīva-dhanvanaḥ | upamāṃ nādhigacchāmi pārthasya sadṛśīṃ kṣitau ||
Sañjaya dit : Sur ce champ de bataille, pour Pārtha—Arjuna, porteur du Gāṇḍīva—si accompli dans l’exécution des actes entrepris sous le sceau du vœu, je ne trouve sur cette terre aucune comparaison qui le mesure vraiment.
