Droṇa’s Fall: Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Inquiry
प्रभद्रकास्तु काम्बोजा: षट्सहस्राण्युदायुधा: । नानावर्णहयै: श्रेष्ठेहेमवर्णरथध्वजा:,इनके सिवा छ: हजार काम्बोजदेशीय प्रभद्रक नामवाले योद्धा हथियार उठाये, भाँति-भाँतिके श्रेष्ठ घोड़ोंसे जुते हुए सुनहरे रंगके रथ और ध्वजासे सम्पन्न हो धनुष फैलाये अपने बाणसमूहोंद्वारा शत्रुओंको भयसे कम्पित करते हुए सब समानरूपसे मृत्युको स्वीकार करनेके लिये उद्यत हो धृष्टद्युम्नके पीछे- पीछे जा रहे थे
prabhadrakās tu kāmbojāḥ ṣaṭsahasrāṇy udāyudhāḥ | nānāvṛṇahayaḥ śreṣṭhā hemavarṇarathadhvajāḥ ||
Sañjaya dit : En outre, six mille guerriers kâmbojas appelés Prabhadrakas, entièrement armés, s’avancèrent. Attelés à d’excellents chevaux de mille couleurs, portant chars et étendards d’une teinte d’or, ils marchaient avec ordre, bandant leurs arcs et, par des volées de flèches, faisant trembler l’ennemi de peur, tout en suivant de près Dhṛṣṭadyumna, prêts à accueillir la mort d’un même cœur.
