सादिभिश्न हतै: शूरै: संकीर्णा वसुधाभवत् | टूटे पहियेवाले रथों, गिराये हुए विशाल ध्वजों और मारे गये शूरवीर घुड़सवारोंसे वहाँकी भूमि आच्छादित हो गयी थी
sa-ādibhiś ca hataiḥ śūraiḥ saṅkīrṇā vasudhābhavat |
Sañjaya dit : La terre, en ce lieu, fut encombrée et jonchée de morts — couverte des débris de la guerre et des corps des héros abattus. Des chars aux roues brisées, de grands étendards renversés, et des cavaliers valeureux gisant sans vie étaient épars sur le champ.
