धर्मराजस्य तद् वाक््यं नाभिशड्कितुमह्सि । “जिसके लिये आपने शस्त्र उठाया, जिसके जीवनकी अभिलाषा रखकर आप जी रहे हैं, वह तो आज पीछे समरभूमिमें गिरकर चिरनिद्रामें सो रहा है और आपको इसकी सूचनातक नहीं दी गयी। धर्मराज युधिष्ठिरके उस कथनपर तो आपको संदेह या अविश्वास नहीं करना चाहिये"

Sañjaya dit : Tu ne dois pas mettre en doute cette parole du Dharmaraja (Yudhishthira). Dans l’ordre moral de l’épopée, la parole de Yudhishthira fait figure d’étalon de vérité ; ainsi, lorsqu’il annonce la chute de celui pour qui tu as pris les armes et pour la vie duquel tu as vécu, son témoignage doit être reçu sans soupçon.
