droṇena cchādyamānau tu kruddhau saṅgrāmamūrdhani
Sañjaya dit : Au faîte même du combat, tous deux—enflammés de colère—étaient recouverts, submergés par l’assaut de Droṇa, dont la puissance se resserrait et obscurcissait leurs mouvements au cœur du fracas.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights how, in war, anger and momentum can make even great fighters vulnerable: tactical superiority (here, Droṇa’s pressure) can ‘cover’ or overwhelm opponents, reminding readers that skill and composure matter as much as valor.
Sañjaya describes a critical moment in the battle where two enraged combatants (implied by the dual forms) are being pressed and obscured by Droṇa’s attack at the very forefront of the fighting.
