Drona Parva, Chapter 18: Arjuna’s astra-deployment against the Saṃśaptakas
आर्य! किरीटधारी अर्जुनको आते देख पुरुषसिंह संशप्तक हर्षपूर्वक बड़े जोर-जोरसे गर्जना करने लगे ।। स शब्द: प्रदिश: सर्वा दिश: खं च समावृणोत् । आवृतत्वाच्च लोकस्य नासीतू तत्र प्रतिस्वन:
sa śabdaḥ pradiśaḥ sarvā diśaḥ khaṃ ca samāvṛṇot | āvṛtatvāc ca lokasya nāsīt tatra pratisvanaḥ ||
Sañjaya dit : Voyant Arjuna, le porteur du diadème, s’avancer, les Saṃsaptaka, pareils à des lions, rugirent de joie encore et encore. Ce fracas emplit toutes les directions et jusqu’au ciel ; et comme il semblait envelopper le monde entier, nul autre écho ni contre-son n’y fut entendu.
