Alāyudha’s Resolve to Confront Bhīma
The verse highlights how collective joy and excitement in warfare can quickly crystallize into determined intent. Ethically, it invites reflection on how emotions like exhilaration and group momentum may override sober discernment about dharma and the human cost of violence.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that the forces (implicitly the Kaurava host) become elated and, feeling energized in the conflict with the Pāṇḍavas, fix their minds on continuing the fight.
