Educational Q&A

Legitimate sovereignty and success in battle are portrayed as arising from 'prasāda' (rightful grace/support) as much as from personal prowess; power is ethically framed as service to order (dharma) rather than mere domination.

Sañjaya addresses Arisūdana and cites Indra as an example: empowered by the addressee’s grace, Indra destroyed vast numbers of Dāityas and secured the status of king of the gods.
