वायुदेव उवाच
The verse stresses seizing a providential opening in a righteous battle: when an adversary comes within one’s lawful reach, a kṣatriya is urged to act decisively to end the threat, without hesitation born of fear or confusion.
In the midst of the Kurukṣetra war, Vāyudeva addresses Arjuna, pointing out that Duryodhana has come into the range of Arjuna’s arrows and urging Arjuna to strike in a way that would be fatal, treating the moment as a rare, fate-given opportunity.
