Bhīmasena–Duryodhana Engagement at Sunset
उसमें सोनेका डंडा लगा हुआ था। उसको सह लेना बहुत ही कठिन था। उसे सहसा आते देख भीष्मने झुकी हुई गाँठवाले बाणोंद्वारा युद्धभूमिमें काट गिराया ।। ततो5परेण भल्लेन पीतेन निशितेन च । कार्मुक॑ भीमसेनस्य द्विधा चिच्छेद भारत
tato ’pareṇa bhallena pītena niśitena ca | kārmukaṁ bhīmasenasya dvidhā ciccheda bhārata ||
Sañjaya dit : Cette arme avait un manche d’or, et il était très difficile de la soutenir. La voyant fondre soudain, Bhīṣma la fit tomber sur le champ de bataille à l’aide de flèches aux nœuds recourbés. Puis, ô Bhārata, d’une autre flèche bhalla, acérée et bien trempée, Bhīṣma coupa en deux l’arc de Bhīmasena.
