Adhyāya 90: Babhruvāhana’s Reception and the Commencement of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Aśvamedha

धर्ममेव गुरु ज्ञात्वा तृष्णा न गणिता त्वया । “जब मनुष्यमें दानविषयक रुचि जाग्रत्‌ होती है

dharmam eva guruṁ jñātvā tṛṣṇā na gaṇitā tvayā |

Le beau-père dit : « Ne reconnaissant que le dharma comme autorité suprême, tu n’as même pas compté la soif pour quelque chose. Quand, chez un homme, s’éveille l’inclination au don, son dharma ne diminue pas. Tu as tenu le dharma pour plus élevé que l’attachement à l’épouse et l’affection pour le fils, et pour lui tu as regardé la faim et la soif comme négligeables. »
