अश्रमवासिनां विषादः — Lament in Hastināpura after the Elders’ Forest Withdrawal

इत्युक्तवत्यां गान्धार्या कुन्ती व्रतकृशानना

ity uktavatyāṃ gāndhāryā kuntī vratakṛśānanā

Quand Gandhārī eut ainsi parlé, Kuntī —le visage amaigri par les vœux et les austérités— (répondit/était là), dans une scène où le deuil se trouve contenu par la discipline, et où le poids des actes passés est porté en silence et sous le vœu.
