नक्षत्रेषु श्राद्धफलविधानम् (Śrāddha Outcomes According to Nakṣatras)
वर्धमानं तु त॑ दृष्टवा प्रार्थथामास तारक: । उपायैर्बहुभि्न्तुं नाशकच्चापि तं विभुम्
vardhamānaṃ tu taṃ dṛṣṭvā prārthayāmāsa tārakaḥ | upāyair bahubhir hantuṃ nāśakac cāpi taṃ vibhum ||
Bhishma dit : «Voyant ce puissant être croître sans cesse en force, Tāraka le provoqua au combat. Mais, malgré de nombreux stratagèmes, il ne put tuer ce jeune homme illustre et puissant.»
भीष्म उवाच
Power driven by pride and hostility may use many tactics, yet it fails when opposed to a force aligned with divine ordinance and rightful purpose; the verse highlights the limits of mere strategy against dharmically supported strength.
Tāraka sees the young, mighty figure (Kumāra) increasing in power and challenges him to battle, but despite trying numerous methods, he cannot kill or overcome him.
