कीर्तन श्रवर्णं दान॑ दर्शनं चापि पार्थिव | गवां प्रशस्यते वीर सर्वपापहरं शिवम्‌

Transliteration

kīrtanaśravaṇaṁ dānaṁ darśanaṁ cāpi pārthiva | gavāṁ praśasyate vīra sarvapāpaharaṁ śivam ||

Translation

Ô roi, ô héros, les Écritures louent hautement ces actes à l’égard des vaches : chanter leurs noms et leurs vertus, écouter de telles louanges, donner des vaches en aumône, et même les contempler. Tout cela est déclaré de bon augure, capable d’effacer tout péché et de mener au bien suprême.
