गोमूल्यनिर्णयः — The Determination of Value through the Cow
Nahuṣa–Cyavana Episode
यद्च्छयोपसम्पन्नैर्यज्ञसा धुबहिष्कृतै: । बाह्या बाह्ौौश्व जायन्ते यथावृत्ति यथाश्रयम्
yadṛcchayopasampannair yajñasādhubahiṣkṛtaiḥ | bāhyā bāhyauś ca jāyante yathāvṛtti yathāśrayam ||
Bhīṣma dit : «De ceux qui, par simple caprice, s’unissent à des femmes d’un autre ordre sans égard pour la naissance ni la convenance — et qui sont exclus des sacrifices et retranchés de la compagnie des vertueux — ne naissent que des gens du dehors, des groupes proscrits. Cette descendance mêlée embrasse ensuite des moyens d’existence variés et cherche appui là où son inclination la mène, agissant selon ses habitudes et ses conditions plutôt que selon le dharma établi.»
