Mataṅga–Śakra Dialogue on Tapas, Status, and Moral Qualities
The verse praises Bhāgīrathī (Gaṅgā) as universally renowned and spiritually efficacious: contact with or partaking of her waters is presented as a means of purification and completion of religious aims, making a person ‘kṛtakṛtya’—one who has fulfilled what is truly required in life.
A Siddha (perfected being) speaks in a laudatory, tirtha-mahātmya style, extolling the sanctity and fame of the river Bhāgīrathī and asserting the transformative merit gained by mortals who drink her waters.
