Mataṅga–Śakra Dialogue on Tapas, Status, and Moral Qualities
दुर्वासा जमदन्निश्चव मार्कण्डेयोडथ गालव: । भरद्वाजो<थ रैभ्यक्ष यवक्रीतस्त्रितस्तथा
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
durvāsā jamadagnis ca mārkaṇḍeyo ’tha gālavaḥ |
bharadvājo ’tha raibhyaś ca yavakrītaḥ tritas tathā ||
Vaiśampāyana dit : « (Parmi ces sages) se trouvent Durvāsā, Jamadagni, Mārkaṇḍeya, puis Gālava ; Bharadvāja et aussi Raibhya ; Yavakrīta et de même Trita. » Dans ce passage, l’épopée poursuit le catalogue révérencieux des ṛṣis —célèbres pour leur austérité, leur savoir et leur autorité morale—, les présentant implicitement comme des modèles et des témoins du dharma, dont la vie et l’enseignement guident la juste conduite.
