सर्वसंकरपापेभ्यो देवतास्तवनन्दक: । जो मनुष्य उपर्युक्त देवता आदिका कीर्तन

sarvasaṅkarapāpebhyo devatāstava-nandakaḥ | yo manuṣya uparyukta-devatādikāḥ kīrtana-stavana-abhinandanaṃ karoti, sa sarvaprakāra-pāpa-bhayāt mukto bhavati | devatānāṃ stutiṃ ca abhinandanaṃ ca kurvan puruṣaḥ sarvaprakāra-saṅkara-pāpebhyaḥ chūyate |

Bhīṣma dit : «Se réjouissant de la louange des dieux, celui qui récite, exalte et salue avec révérence les divinités mentionnées plus haut devient libre de toute sorte de péché et de toute crainte. L’homme qui offre des hymnes et un hommage respectueux aux dieux est délivré de tous les péchés mêlés et troublants.»
