यज्ञानामपि यो यज्ञ: शिवानामपि य:ः शिव: । रुद्राणामपि यो रुद्र: प्रभा प्रभवतामपि
yajñānām api yo yajñaḥ śivānām api yaḥ śivaḥ | rudrāṇām api yo rudraḥ prabhā prabhavatām api ||
Vāyu dit : «Celui qui est le sacrifice même parmi les sacrifices, l’Auspicious parmi tout ce qui est auspicious, Rudra parmi les Rudra, et la splendeur même des splendides — écoute de ma bouche les mille-huit noms de ce Seigneur Śiva, à l’éclat sans mesure, Soi de tous les êtres, de qui naissent les mondes et en qui, à la fin, ils se dissolvent. Ô meilleur des hommes, à l’entendre seulement, tu obtiendras l’accomplissement de tous tes désirs.»
