न तेषां भिद्यते वृत्तं यज्ञा: स्वाध्यायकर्म च । आचार: कारणं चैव धर्मश्वैकस्त्रयं पुन:
na teṣāṁ bhidyate vṛttaṁ yajñāḥ svādhyāya-karma ca | ācāraḥ kāraṇaṁ caiva dharmaś caikaḥ trayaṁ punaḥ ||
Bhishma dit : Chez de tels saints, leur manière de vivre, solidement établie, n’est jamais troublée ; ni leurs sacrifices, ni leur svādhyāya (étude et récitation du Veda), ni leurs autres devoirs sacrés. En eux, la conduite, les sources d’autorité qui l’expliquent (les Veda et les śāstra) et le dharma ne s’opposent pas : tous trois demeurent dans une unique harmonie.
