ईश्वरो विक्रमी धन्वी मेधावी विक्रम: क्रम: । अनुत्तमो दुराधर्ष: कृतज्ञ: कृतिरात्मवान्
īśvaro vikramī dhanvī medhāvī vikramaḥ kramaḥ | anuttamo durādharṣaḥ kṛtajñaḥ kṛtir ātmavān ||
Bhīṣma dit : Il est le Seigneur—puissant et souverain ; héroïque et vaillant ; porteur de l’arc ; d’une intelligence suprême ; l’incarnation même de la prouesse et de la marche résolue. Il est sans égal et inattaquable, reconnaissant même pour la plus petite offrande ; fondement de toute action humaine efficace ; et maître de lui—demeurant dans sa propre gloire.
