Samantapañcaka Narrative and the Measure of an Akṣauhiṇī

Educational Q&A

Righteous strength is not merely personal prowess: it is reinforced by timely alliances and counsel. The slaying of a violent threat (Kirmīra) and the arrival of supportive clans (Vṛṣṇis, Pāñcālas) together illustrate how dharma is upheld through both valor and collective support.

The passage summarizes key events: Bhīma kills the rākṣasa Kirmīra in combat, and afterward the Vṛṣṇis and the Pāñcālas arrive to the Pāṇḍavas. The Pāṇḍavas then engage in conversation with these arriving allies.
