Shloka 12

Adhyaya 34: भस्ममहात्म्यं—अग्नीषोमात्मक-शिवतत्त्वं तथा पाशुपतव्रतप्रशंसा

शेषाश्चाश्रमिणः सर्वे पश्चात्सृष्टाः स्वयंभुवा सृष्टिरेषा मया सृष्टा लज्जामोहभयात्मिका

śeṣāścāśramiṇaḥ sarve paścātsṛṣṭāḥ svayaṃbhuvā sṛṣṭireṣā mayā sṛṣṭā lajjāmohabhayātmikā

Ensuite, tous les autres āśramins (ceux qui sont aptes aux disciplines des āśramas) furent créés par Svayambhū (Brahmā). Cette création, que J’ai fait surgir, est marquée par lajjā (pudeur), moha (égarement) et bhaya (crainte) — les signes mêmes du paśu, l’âme liée, sous l’emprise du pāśa.
