कृषेरभावाद् वाणिज्यं तदभावात् कुसीदकम् / आपत्कल्पो ह्यं ज्ञेयः पूर्वोक्तो मुख्य इष्यते
kṛṣerabhāvād vāṇijyaṃ tadabhāvāt kusīdakam / āpatkalpo hyaṃ jñeyaḥ pūrvokto mukhya iṣyate
Quand l’agriculture n’est pas possible, qu’on prenne le commerce ; et quand même cela n’est pas possible, qu’on recoure au prêt à intérêt. Qu’on comprenne cela comme règle en temps de détresse (āpad-dharma) ; toutefois, le devoir principal énoncé plus haut est tenu pour premier.
