प्रधानं पुरुषस्तत्त्वं महानात्मा त्वहङ्कृतिः / कालेनान्यानि तत्त्वानि समाविष्टानि योगिना

pradhānaṃ puruṣastattvaṃ mahānātmā tvahaṅkṛtiḥ / kālenānyāni tattvāni samāviṣṭāni yoginā

Pradhāna (la Nature primordiale) et Puruṣa (la Conscience) sont les principes fondamentaux; d’eux naissent Mahat (le Grand Principe, l’intelligence cosmique) puis Ahaṅkāra (le sentiment du « moi »). En son temps, par le Temps, les autres tattvas aussi sont ramenés et fondus—par le Yogin qui connaît la voie de la résorption.
