Sāṅkhya of Creation and Annihilation
Sarga–Nirodha-viveka
Although the mahat-tattva, impelled by the force of time, is the ingredient cause of this world, it is clearly explained here that the Supreme Lord is personally the only ultimate cause of all that exists. Time and nature are powerless to act without the glance of the Personality of Godhead. He creates unlimited material variety for the sense gratification of the conditioned souls, who try to enjoy life as the children of particular parents and as the parents of particular children, throughout the 8,400,000 species of life.
It says creation proceeds in an orderly sequence through the guṇas and continues until the Lord withdraws His activating glance, at which point the manifested world reaches dissolution.
In the Uddhava-gītā teachings, Krishna gives Uddhava clear discernment about prakṛti, the guṇas, and the Lord’s supremacy, so Uddhava can cultivate detachment and steady devotion.
It trains one to see the world as dependent on God’s will—reducing anxiety and ego—and to prioritize bhakti and inner steadiness over temporary material arrangements.
