The Song of the Avantī Brāhmaṇa (Avanti-brāhmaṇa-gītā): Mind as the Root of Suffering and Equanimity Amid Insult
This verse states that the essence of yoga is restraining the mind through intelligence and keeping one’s consciousness absorbed in Krishna.
Krishna is giving Uddhava the distilled conclusion of spiritual practice: real yoga culminates in fixing the mind in the Supreme Lord, not merely external techniques.
Use discernment to redirect attention away from distractions and regularly anchor the mind in Krishna through remembrance, prayer, and consistent devotional practice.
