Kriyā-yoga, the Virāṭ-Puruṣa Mapping, and the Sun-God’s Monthly Expansions
Bhagavatam 12.11.39 states that during the month Tapaḥ, the Sun is accompanied by Pūṣā, Dhanañjaya, Vāta, Suṣeṇa, Suruci, Ghṛtācī, and Gautama, who together preside over that segment of time.
This verse presents the Sun’s movement as the practical driver of time divisions, with specific divine associates appointed for each month—showing time as a sacred, governed order rather than a random flow.
By seeing time as divinely ordered, one can treat each month and day as an opportunity for sādhana—planning devotional practice with steadiness and gratitude rather than living in distraction.
