Śukadeva describes King Yudhiṣṭhira seated in a formal assembly, surrounded by sages, social orders, his brothers, teachers, elders, and relatives—setting the scene for Yudhiṣṭhira’s forthcoming deliberation and decision.
The verse highlights that righteous royal decisions in the Bhāgavatam are made in consultation with saintly persons, teachers, and respected elders—emphasizing dharmic governance and accountability.
Important choices are best made with humility and counsel—seeking guidance from wise, ethical mentors and well-wishers rather than acting impulsively or in isolation.
