apūpavā́n madhumā́ṃś carúr eha sī́datu | lokakṛ́taḥ pathikṛ́to yajāmahe yé devā́nāṃ hutabhā́gā ihá sthá
Let the cooked offering, rich in cake and honey-sweet, be set down here. We do sacrifice unto the World-builders, the Path-makers, who have their portion in the gods’ oblation: be ye here present.
Rishi: Atharvanic funerary tradition (AV 18 corpus).
Devata: Lokakṛt and Pathikṛt (collective ordainers).
Chandas: Anuṣṭubh-like liturgical formula (variable by recension/edition).
