Sukta 4
यथाज्यं प्रगृहीतमालुम्पेत् स्रुचो अग्नये । एवा ह ब्रह्मभ्यो वशा मग्नय आ वृश्चतेऽददत्
yáthā́jyam pragṛhītam ālumpét srúco agnáye | evā́ ha bráhmabhyo vaśā́ mághnaya ā́ vṛścáte ’dadat ||
As ghee, when taken up, one should let fall from the ladle unto Agni, even so indeed the Vashā—he gave her to the Brahmans, to the bounteous, to him that cuts away (evil).
Comme le ghee, une fois puisé, on le laisse tomber de la cuiller à Agni, ainsi, en vérité, la Vaśā : il la donna aux Brahmanes — aux généreux, à Agni qui retranche (le mal).
