Sukta 3
tráyo lokā́ḥ sáṃmitā brā́hmaṇena dyáur evā́sau pṛthivī́ ’ntárikṣam | aṃśū́n gṛbhītvā́nv ārabhēthām ā́ pyāyantāṃ púnar ā́ yantu śū́rpam ||
The three worlds are compacted into measure by Brahman: yonder is Heaven, and Earth, and Mid-air. Having taken the fibres, take hold in due sequence; let them wax full, and let them come again unto the winnowing-fan.
Rishi: Atharvanic seer-tradition (general for AV 12.3)
Devata: Brahman (sacred formulation) as cosmic measurer; śūrpa as ritual instrument
Chandas: Jagatī-like (mixed)
