Sukta 3
अयं ग्रावा पृथुबुध्नो वयोधाः पूतः पवित्रैरप हन्तु रक्षः । आ रोह चर्म महि शर्म यच्छ मा दंपती पौत्रमघं नि गाताम्
ayáṃ grā́vā pr̥thubúdhno vayodhā́ḥ pūtáḥ pavítrair ápa hantu rákṣaḥ | ā róha cárma máhi śárma yaccha mā dámpatī páutram agháṃ ní gātām ||
This stone, broad-based, life-sustaining, purified with purifiers, shall smite away the Rákṣas. Mount thou the hide; vouchsafe great shelter: let not the wedded pair fall down into evil that toucheth their descendants.
Cette pierre, au large fondement, qui soutient la vie, purifiée par les purificateurs, frappera au loin le Rákṣas. Monte sur la peau ; accorde un grand abri : que le couple marié ne tombe pas dans le mal qui atteint les descendants.
