Sukta 6
यमबध्नाद् बृहस्पतिर्देवेभ्यो असुरक्षितिम्। स मायं मणिरागमत् सह गोभिरजाविभिरन्नेन प्रजया सह
yám abadʰnād bṛ́haspátir devébhyo ásura-kṣitim | sá māyáṃ maṇír ā́gamat sahá góbhir ajā́vibhir ánnena prajā́yā sahá ||
Whom Bṛhaspati bound on for the Gods, (to win) the Asura’s stronghold—this Jewel came hither with its wondrous power, together with cows, with goats and sheep, with food, together with offspring.
Celui que Bṛhaspati lia pour les dieux afin de conquérir la forteresse des Asura — ce Joyau est venu ici avec sa māyā (puissance merveilleuse) : avec les vaches, avec les chèvres et les brebis, avec la nourriture, avec la descendance.
