Ayurvedic Panchakarma sequencing is taught: perform snehana (oleation) first, then virechana (therapeutic purgation), followed by a specific convalescent diet using easily digestible rice preparations.
It demonstrates the Agni Purana’s inclusion of clinical Ayurveda—detailing therapy order and post-treatment dietetics—alongside its better-known ritual, dharma, and cosmological materials.
Purificatory therapy (śodhana) is framed as restoring bodily balance and cleanliness; such purification supports clarity for dharmic living and religious practice by removing impediments caused by illness and impurity.
