हिरण्यवर्णा इति च पाद्यञ्च तिसृभिर्द्विज शन्न आपो ह्य् आचमनमिदमापो ऽभिषेचनं
hiraṇyavarṇā iti ca pādyañca tisṛbhirdvija śanna āpo hy ācamanamidamāpo 'bhiṣecanaṃ
«Hiraṇyavarṇā (les eaux à la teinte d’or)»—par ce mantra, on doit offrir l’eau pour les pieds (pādya). Ô deux-fois-né, avec les trois versets commençant par «Śaṃ na āpo…», on accomplira l’ācamanā, le rite de boire à petites gorgées l’eau purificatrice; et avec «Idam āpaḥ…», on fera l’abhiṣecana, l’aspersion/ablution rituelle.
