Application: While chanting, feel resonance at tālu for ‘ma’ and steady attention at bhrūmadhya/lalāṭa-madhya for bindu to sharpen concentration and mantra-sphuraṇa.

Related Themes: Agni Purana 88 (bīja placements and devatā-vācakatva)
It teaches mantra-phonetics used in nyāsa: specific sound-units (makāra and bindu) are mapped to deities (Rudra and Īśvara) and assigned to precise bodily loci (palate and forehead) for ritual installation.
Beyond narrative theology, it preserves applied ritual-technology—sound-to-deity correspondences and bodily placement rules—showing the text’s compendium-like coverage of mantraśāstra, subtle anatomy, and temple/household practice.
Correct nyāsa is held to purify the practitioner and stabilize mantra-japa by aligning speech (sound) and body (locus) with the intended deity-form, thereby strengthening focus, protection, and devotional efficacy.
