Related Themes: Agni Purana 83 (dīkṣā/prāyaścitta and śuddhi-krama)
It prescribes ritual protocol: disciples should be seated facing east, and pañcagavya is administered in three small portions at the first stage/occasion as a purification measure.
It records precise procedural details—directional seating (dik-sambandha) and measured intake (mātrā) of a purificatory substance—showing the text’s coverage of practical ritual mechanics alongside broader theology.
East-facing orientation aligns the rite with auspicious order, while pañcagavya intake functions as internal purification, supporting ritual fitness (adhikāra) and reducing impurity-based obstacles to merit (puṇya) and successful observance.
