FAQs

A jñāna-yoga practice is taught: repeatedly cultivate and stabilize the meditative conviction (bhāvanā) of identity with Īśvara—expressed as “so’ham” (“He is I / I am That”)—grounded in the doctrine of the six inner supports (ṣaḍādhāra).

Alongside ritual and dharma topics, the Agni Purāṇa also preserves practical contemplative methods; this verse is a compact instruction in inner yogic discipline (bhāvanā-sthairya), showing the text’s coverage of both outer rites and inner realization.

By repeatedly fixing the nondual recognition of the Self as the Lord, the mind becomes steady and purified, weakening ego-based identification and supporting liberation-oriented insight (mokṣa-pravṛtti).
