FAQs

It prescribes a ritual-meditative discipline: adopting an ascetic covering (e.g., kṛṣṇājina) and performing focused remembrance of Śiva as the cosmic time-principle and protector, aligning external observance with internal japa/smaraṇa.

It exemplifies the text’s practical ritual manuals (pujā-vidhi and vrata-vidhi): concise instructions combining material observance (dress/covering) with theology (Śiva as saṃvatsara/time and sākṣin/witness), showing how the Purana integrates praxis with metaphysics.

By meditating on Śiva as the universal witness of all deeds, the practitioner cultivates accountability and purification of intention; contemplating Him as the imperishable guardian is framed as securing protection and steadiness in all lawful undertakings and rites.
