Chapter 72 — स्नानविशेषादिकथनम्
Special Rules of Bathing, Mantra-Purification, and Sandhyā

It prescribes a practical snāna/abhisheka procedure: immerse while mentally invoking Śiva (or Hari/‘Gaṅgā’), and perform abhiṣecana using a ṣaḍaṅga mantra set that concludes with ‘vauṣaṭ’.
It exemplifies the text’s manual-like coverage of worship technology—linking inner recollection (smaraṇa) with formal mantra-structure (ṣaḍaṅga + vauṣaṭ) and a concrete rite (abhisheka), typical of the Agni Purana’s broad ritual compendium.
The instruction joins sacred remembrance with purificatory immersion and consecration, presenting the bath/abhisheka as a means of cleansing impurity and generating religious merit through correct devotion and mantra-practice.
