Chapter 59 — अधिवासनकथनं
Adhivāsana: The Rite of Inviting and Stabilizing Hari’s Presence

On doit placer (par nyāsa) le principe de la Terre — la syllabe-semence « ṅa » — sur la paire de pieds. Dans la région du bassin, on placera « gha ». Et dans le cœur, on installera le principe igné (tejas) avec la semence « ga ».

Concept: Bhuta-shuddhi: the practitioner re-maps gross and subtle elements onto the body, moving from grounding (earth/feet) to energizing illumination (tejas/heart).
Application: In meditation, visualize heaviness/stability at feet (earth), containment/seat of vitality at pelvis, and luminous heat at heart (tejas) to support mantra-japa and dhyana.

Related Themes: Agni Purana 59 (bhuta-shuddhi and matrika-nyasa sequence)
It teaches bhūta-nyāsa/anga-nyāsa: assigning specific bīja-sounds to bodily loci to install the Earth element at the feet and the Fire (tejas) element at the heart, with an additional placement at the pelvic region.
Beyond mythology, it preserves precise, procedural ritual technology—mantra-bīja mapping, bodily loci, and elemental installation—showing the Purana’s coverage of tantric praxis alongside other sciences.
Elemental nyāsa is used for inner purification (bhūta-śuddhi) and consecration of the body as a ritual vessel, supporting concentration, mantra-siddhi, and sanctified worship.
