«Allez ailleurs en paix ; quittez promptement ce lieu.» Ainsi avertis, les êtres s’en vont satisfaits, chacun selon son propre aise. Ensuite, après avoir consommé le caru (bouillie rituelle) avec les officiants, on doit, la nuit, réciter le mantra du rêve.

Vidya Category: {"primary_vidya":"Mantra","secondary_vidya":"Puja-vidhi","practical_application":"Ritual dismissal (visarjana) of subtle beings with kṣamā, followed by caru consumption and nocturnal japa of a svapna-mantra for dream-omens/ritual efficacy.","sutra_style":true}

Encyclopedic Reference: {"reference_type":"Procedure","entry_title":"Bhūta-visarjana and Svapna-mantra Japa after Caru","lookup_keywords":["visarjana","kṣamā","caru","svapna-mantra","rātri-japa"],"quick_summary":"Politely dismiss obstructing beings, confirm their satisfied departure, then partake of caru with officiants and perform night-time dream-mantra recitation for intended results/omens."}

Concept: Ritual sequencing: śānti (appeasement) → prasāda (caru) → mantra-japa; dreams are treated as a valid channel of divine communication when disciplined by mantra.

Application: For vow/ritual work, maintain order: remove disturbances first, take sanctified food, then perform focused night practice to cultivate meaningful dream-omens.

Khanda Section: Puja-vidhi / Mantra-kalpa (Dream-rite and appeasement of subtle beings)

Primary Rasa: adbhuta

Secondary Rasa: shanta

FAQs

It gives a practical rite of polite dismissal (visarjana) of subtle beings from a location, followed by partaking of the caru and performing svapna-mantra japa at night.

Alongside theology, the Agni Purana preserves applied ritual technology—mantra-use, post-offering procedure (caru), and handling of unseen presences—showing its coverage of operative religious practices, not only narratives.

The instruction emphasizes non-violent, respectful appeasement: beings depart “satisfied,” reducing disturbance and impurity, while mantra-japa at night supports inner clarity and auspicious dream-experience.
