Related Themes: Agni Purāṇa (pūjā-vidhi sections on āvaraṇa-devatā, kṣetrapāla, and parivāra worship—contextual linkage)
It prescribes the temple-entry salutation order: first bow to the local guardian retinue (Muṇḍapṛṣṭha with Kṣetrapāla and attendants), done specifically in the Devi’s presence and before Gadādhara.
It records a precise, procedural rule of pūjā-vidhi—how to approach major deities by first honoring protective boundary-deities—showing the text’s practical cataloging of ritual protocols alongside theology.
Honoring Kṣetrapāla and attendant guardians first is treated as removing obstacles and securing ritual eligibility, ensuring the main worship of Devi and Viṣṇu proceeds without impediment and with proper sanctity.
