Chapter 108 —
Bhuvana-kośa: The Structure of the Worlds

Related Themes: Agni Purana Jambūdvīpa-varṣa descriptions (ch.108 context)
It imparts cosmographic knowledge (bhūgola/varṣa-vibhāga): the ordering of named varṣas (Bhārata, Kiṁpuruṣa, Harivarṣa, etc.) specifically located south of Mount Meru.
By cataloging Purāṇic geography and the structure of Jambūdvīpa, it functions like a reference entry—one of the Agni Purāṇa’s many knowledge domains alongside ritual, polity, medicine, and arts.
Knowing the sacred geography situates Bhārata and other varṣas within a Purāṇic sacred cosmos, supporting pilgrimage-minded devotion and a worldview where dharma is aligned with the ordered universe centered on Meru.
