Dharma Across the Four Yugas, the Disruption of Social Conduct, and Ritual Purification from Varṇa-Mixing Transgressions

युगे युगे क आचारो वर्णानां भविता मुने । कथं च शुद्धिर्विप्राणामन्यस्त्रीसङ्करैर्मुने ॥ ६८.२ ॥

yuge yuge ka ācāro varṇānāṃ bhavitā mune | kathaṃ ca śuddhir viprāṇām anyastrīsaṅkarair mune || 68.2 ||

«Oh sabio, en cada yuga, ¿cuál será el ācāra, la conducta apropiada, de los varṇa? Y, oh sabio, ¿cómo ha de entenderse la pureza (śuddhi) de los brahmanes en relación con la mezcla de linajes surgida por uniones con otras mujeres?»
