FAQs

It juxtaposes two major cultural-geographic imaginaries—Mathurā and the Himālaya—showing how Purāṇic narratives embed ethical emotion and practice within recognizable landscapes.

Mathurā (North India) and Himādri/Himālaya (the Himalayan mountain range), both prominent in Sanskrit cultural geography.

Persistent practice or repetition without inner composure is depicted as insufficient; emotional disturbance remains until the narrative’s moral resolution.
