Varaha Purana 128.85 — Adhyaya 128, Shloka 85

Rites for the comb, collyrium, and mirror; initiations for the four social orders; and the Gaṇāntikā vow/insignia

धरोवाच ॥ श्रुता दीक्षा यथान्यायं चातुर्वर्ण्यस्य केशव ॥ दीक्षितैः किं नु कर्तव्यं तव कर्मपरायणैः ।

dharovāca || śrutā dīkṣā yathā-nyāyaṃ cāturvarṇyasya keśava || dīkṣitaiḥ kiṃ nu kartavyaṃ tava karma-parāyaṇaiḥ

Dhara (la Tierra) dijo: «Oh Keśava, se ha oído la dīkṣā conforme a la regla correcta para los cuatro varṇa. ¿Qué, pues, deben hacer los iniciados, entregados a los actos prescritos por ti?»
