Type: kshetra
Listener: Devī (Pārvatī)
Scene: At Prabhāsa by the sea, pilgrims at dawn in uttarāyaṇa offer a ‘ghee-blanket’—a cloth saturated with clarified butter—before a Śiva-liṅga, with lamps and conch-sounds; the sun rises over the waters as priests recite mantras.
Right time joined with right offering can transform destiny—seasonal dharma and charity reduce suffering in rebirth.
Prabhāsa Kṣetra broadly, within the Caṇḍīśa Māhātmya context.
During uttarāyaṇa, perform the ghṛta-kambala rite (a ghee-based charitable/ritual offering) for protection from dreadful rebirth.
